We all have failures.
If you don’t have failures you don’t realise how important it is to your journey in life, Failure, as much as it hurts, is an important part of life. It is a necessary part of learning to achieve our dreams. Taking risks and failing is part of life, it makes us into who we are.
Personally, I’ve had more failures than I like to think about. Some of the failures have completely altered my relationships with people, devastated my finances, and probably at times impacted my mental health and general well-being. I can’t say that I particularly enjoy failing, but failure, through its life-altering lessons, makes us into better people as they guide us through life.
Failures generally result from using the wrong strategies.
Wrong strategies deliver the wrong outcomes and quickly lead to failures. The biggest failures in the world could have been solved if the right actions had been taken when they were small and manageable. The more quickly you learn new strategies and put the right actions in place, the quicker you get back on track.
Many failures occur because people try or dare to be different, without the appropriate information and knowledge. Whether you are green and growing, or ripe and rotting, you always need to operate with good information and knowledge. Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn from your failures.
You all want to be successful in your lives but there is a flip side to successes, it’s called failure. Most people fear the word failure, but a successful person knows there is no reason to fear it because failure is a great teacher. Unfortunately, most people are trained or conditioned from their early life to avoid failures at all cost as if it was the worst thing that could happen to you. No one ever taught them the importance of setting the right goals and objectives and how to put good strategies and actions into play.
Keep in mind, that if your new venture fails you may have lost some money, along with your investors. However, the overall economy massively benefits because you are wiser, employees are wiser, investors are wiser, everyone’s learnt something and the whole community benefits. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start on your next project as soon as possible.
What you might need after a failure.
Failure isn’t bad and failure isn’t final. If there is one thing I know, you can survive almost anything and come back better and stronger than ever before, if you learn from each of your failures. Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from achieving the success you want and deserve.
The successful person has a dream, or a goal and they will do whatever it takes to get there. It’s through failure that we learn the biggest lessons that life could teach us. They know success in life is never solely determined by the scores you have had on your report cards at school or anywhere else.
Successful people have learned that their past failures are only bumps on the way to ultimate success, whatever they perceive that to be. Those that have known true failure, and have bounced back from it, understand that the failures they had were necessary for their success.
Whatever you do, don’t let failure put you in a dark place.
Revamp your To-Do-List
Preferably an electronic one to drive important new objectives, strategies and actions. Keep in mind small changes can make a big difference. The important thing is to become an ‘action orientated’ person.
Start to set new objectives, strategies and actions immediately. It becomes obvious when you need to change strategies that haven’t worked, or have become failures. Some days you just have to create your own sunshine. But whatever you do don’t regret having made a mistake or experienced a failure, just learn from them. A word of encouragement received after a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after a success.
Opportunities generation can be challenging and cost valuable time and money because always chasing the latest new ‘shiny thing’ can lead to failures. Be sure to match your expenditure to reality. Only spend money when it will help to further your important aspirations such as profit, growth, sustainability, or improving your lifestyle. Always look on the bright side of everything, it is where you will find the right strategies and where the opportunities are buried. You can’t lose something you never had.
“It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all. In which case, you have failed by default”. J.K. Rowling
“If something bad happens, start looking for the good in it, failures don’t make you a failure”. Peter Sergeant
