December and January used to be a slow, easy-going time in business, except for some retailers and suppliers who supply the Christmas holiday market and the many social services people. You were able to rest and recharge your batteries. However, you don’t need to spend all the Christmas holidays worrying about your business, non-profit or community. Have a Merry Christmas instead; you’ve earned it.

This year has been challenging for most, adjusting to the impact of droughts, floods, fires, and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of you will continue to adapt to the problems, frustrations, and opportunities.

Whatever you decide to do, relax to have more fun in the coming year. Use the break to refresh yourself and enjoy time with your family and friends. You can then look forward to a fast start when you return to work, feeling refreshed and eager to get going and make some breakthroughs.

Don’t let the problems of the last year undermine your dreams.
