Stop sweating the “Small Stuff”.

Stop wishing your life away.
Most of us would have felt at some time that someone may be hiding in the storeroom where we accumulate old paperwork and unwanted clutter that has become a problem. It’s not unusual to have annoying, repetitive thoughts and nightmares about everything we didn’t do. Your current circumstances should not dictate your happiness; you should.
Some people even fear going into that dark corner of their lives and keep living in unnecessary fear and a major stressor. Similarly, we hide from the harsh truth or destructive outcomes, so why not take that mature step and open the gates of your mind to new possibilities and a better way to live?
You worry about failing and unable to provide what your family would like and deserve, as your dreams fade into insignificant “Stuff.” You always feel miserable, and for most of your working day, you procrastinate, fiddle with your pens, and shuffle the small stuff as you try to keep yourself busy and go somewhere else.
One good idea can change your day, career and future, so let’s make it a good one and enjoy the journey. Making a significant change in your life can be frightening. The one thing worse is regretting not having tried. A year from now, you will wish you had become more action-oriented today.
Life doesn’t have to be that way.
Rise to your challenges and never give up on what is important to you and your family. Since you have no better options, it makes sense to get up from your comfortable chair, switch on the light, and make a few changes. After all, what do you have to lose? Things couldn’t be any worse.
Struggles are overcome with hope and a dream while knowing what is worthwhile. Remember Newton’s Law: an object at rest tends to stay at rest until someone does something. And to keep moving forward, someone must become action-oriented.
Take off the mental handcuffs and limits; nothing prevents you from enjoying a new lifestyle with indefinite growth and extraordinary breakthroughs for you and your family. So fix your eyes on the ‘green lights’ and go for it. Of course, success at anything is optional; you can continue going with the flow.
Sure, there will be tough times ahead. But be assured that if you stay the same, there will be even more challenging times. One good thing about making mistakes and having failures is that it knocks off your rough edges while opening up new and better opportunities.
It’s amazing what you can accomplish if you refuse to quit. Most of your efforts will require some trial and error, but if your dreams turn to dust, bring out the vacuum cleaner and do some research.
So, where do you start? Where are the opportunities?
Never forget that every day allows you to procrastinate, stay in your comfort zone, and live sweating the “Small stuff” you once were involved with. You want people helping you with 100% commitment; don’t accept 50% now and the other 50% when you look successful.
